Angela Eden: Principal Consultant
My background and experience is wide ranging, but holds a theme of development for the individual within the context of their working environment. As a solo consultant, I also use my wide network of colleagues for larger contracts ,
Background
I originally trained as an English and Drama teacher, and then in community and economic development (LSE). I found that working to develop an individual was only effective if the manager and organisation was supportive. I trained as an organisation development consultant, (Tavistock Clinic); worked in OD within a Local Government setting, and built a small freelance consultancy practice. My work in a number of employment sectors gives me a wide range of experience. E.g. education; construction; agriculture; health; social welfare and telecommunications. I have worked at a first line management level with CEO issues, at board level, on committees and with management teams. I was appointed as a Charity Trustee for a local Hospital trust, and on the Board of ISPSO (International Society for the Psychoanalytic Study of Organizations.)
My most recent full time employee experience was in a large international telecommunications company that gave me both knowledge and experience of culture change, career, and executive development.
